At this moment, I’m quietly rejoicing. No one noticed the load was lighter on my shoulders as we left the clinic today, nothing looked very different, except for today.....we have been given a bit of a reprieve. When the sleep clinic doctor reviewed Peter’s sleep study on Cpap, she feels he is stable at this point. For right now...today....one doctor is saying that Peter doesn’t need jaw Dianahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12422954437237474822noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1956743929265795081.post-80109560058466346132014-06-17T19:11:00.002-04:002014-06-17T19:11:34.289-04:00So here we go.....number 17.....Cue Rocky music. My sweet Pete is going in for yet another surgery tomorrow. This will make 17 surgeries. He wears his scars proudly, like a warrior out to conquer. I’m not sure where he got all of this competitive stuff, ahem....

First off....congratulations! People don’t often say that at first, do they? When they hear you’ve just had a child who needs lots of extra care, they clam up, stumble on their words and, not knowing what to say, they don’t say anything. So...I’m saying it....
Congratulations!!
This baby is a precious little person who will challenge the world to see what it’s made of.....what Dianahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12422954437237474822noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1956743929265795081.post-81223855303584993382014-04-02T00:35:00.000-04:002014-04-02T02:56:44.929-04:00Yarn Along...Finally!
Tell me this picture doesn’t just get you....
Oh my goodness....I have finally gotten my pics up of the sweater. I have said before I wasn’t too hip on the yarn I used...totally fuzzed out even before I had finished the project. While the actual pattern wasn’t too bad, the yarn was disappointing. BUT...Lily LOVES this sweater, she wears it all of the time, so I’m not tooDianahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12422954437237474822noreply@blogger.com9tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1956743929265795081.post-73338523115214621522014-03-16T00:39:00.000-04:002014-03-16T00:39:30.752-04:00Spring, right??So, I did a little pretty cut and paste to spruce up the blog, trying to trick myself into believing that Spring really is just around the corner.....but then I picked up my pictures from Costco’s and saw these....
Oh well, I’m sure the next thing will be the big melt, which means the big mud bog......which really I should take advantage of and look for rain boots for both Lily and meDianahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12422954437237474822noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1956743929265795081.post-20180888229660975722014-01-22T15:16:00.000-05:002014-02-03T15:57:12.094-05:00Our Story....a Prolife Story
So, I’m going to talk a bit about my family of origin.
Growing up, I never had a large family of cousins, reunions, or get togethers. One reason for that is my mom was adopted and had one sibling from her adoptive family. My father is an only child and both of his parents were out of the picture before I had grown out of toddlerhood. So our’s was not a family of big Christmas’s, or extended, Dianahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12422954437237474822noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1956743929265795081.post-23448843073494253852014-01-15T11:26:00.001-05:002014-01-15T11:30:49.033-05:00Yarn Along.....Okay, you know when you see yarn online and everyone is talking about it? And everyone loves, loves, loves it? I bought some of that kind of yarn.....popular girl yarn....and I am not impressed. At all. I seriously could have used a Lion brand wool blend and it would have been better.
I contacted the company and expressed my deep disappointment in this yarn, as I continued to knit my daughter’s Dianahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12422954437237474822noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1956743929265795081.post-62962834016054211312014-01-13T09:46:00.001-05:002014-01-13T11:50:32.890-05:00Organizational ExtravaganzaOkay...it sounds really trite to say, “Hey, New Year’s Resolution...I’m gonna get organized!”
Yeah...that usually lasts until January 2nd at 2pm. But...not this year. I really feel called to be a much better steward of our money and time by organizing key areas in our house. That would be....most of the house. The good news is, I have conquered something that has had the upper hand over me for Dianahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12422954437237474822noreply@blogger.com12tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1956743929265795081.post-2973454446993923232013-11-27T13:22:00.001-05:002013-11-27T13:43:27.544-05:00Yarn Along--Cautionary Tale....Well folks, this is a cautionary tale called “Knit A Non-Roll Edge To Your Lace Scarf.”
I started knitting this beloved scarf two years ago. This is one of the few things I have knit for myself. So, the yarn is really nice dk weight-- “Tonal” from KnitPicks. I love this red color, “Gypsy.” Lots of great shades, very subtle, and a dream to knit. I’m participating in Ginny’s Yarn Along, where every Wednesday folks link up to her blog and share what they are knitting and reading. I don’t always participate, but it is a fun thing to do!
Yarn Along...Ginny’s blog.
Here is what I am knitting right now.
This cardigan is for my Lily. She picked out the yarn, Quince & Co Chickadee in sorbet. Here it goes. For those of you who know and still love me, you know life with my beloved posse is not always easy. The medical stuff...the illnesses and surgeries....the crazy serious food allergies....it all adds up to be sort of.....hard. I can’t remember a time when it has been easy, except maybe when my sweet husband and I were first married almost 22 years ago and we lived on Diet Coke Dianahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12422954437237474822noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1956743929265795081.post-30533524870073183352013-10-06T23:52:00.002-04:002013-10-07T00:02:14.179-04:00Detroit trip...
So we took a short three hour trip to Detroit to see my son, who is studying architecture at college. It was his birthday week and we wanted to see him. You can tell everyone was saving their energy for the day!
We picked J up and went to Mass at a beautiful church in Greektown, Old St. Mary’s. It is run by the Redemptorists, and is a must see. No...this has been of the “keep breathin’ ya’ll, it will get better eventually” kind of summer. And, it has gotten better, Deo Gratias. I see the boys outside right now trying to play as much ball as they can before it completely goes dark outside. Yes...we vaccinate...and guess what? It is NOT 100% effective. The first year following vaccination, it is 80-90% effective and after that it wanes. How are you making room for Christ? What does it look like in your life to make room for Him? I am endeavoring to attend daily Mass as many times during the week as possible. I have an introduction to make here. My friend, Camille, is a book artist, calligrapher, and poet along with being a homeschooling mama. She does amazing work. I have encouraged her to share her knowledge and the beautiful work she does with her own blog, and waahhlaahh--here it is! Go give her some bloggy love and check it out. Hi Everyone!
I am participating in Ginny’s Yarn Along...what a great idea to share what we are knitting AND reading....double bonus!! So I am reading Shadows on the Rock by Willa Cather. I am reading along with some of Gabe’s reading selections for freshman year. He is actually starting early to get a jump start, which is going really well. Willa Cather’s book is one of the books to choose for Dianahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12422954437237474822noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1956743929265795081.post-88040379412732102632013-05-03T22:05:00.001-04:002013-05-03T22:05:24.140-04:00ConfirmationWe are so proud of Gabe, he received the Sacrament of Confirmation last week. Sam is his sponsor. It is nice having big brothers to fill in those roles! Congratulations, Gabriel “Damien” Elijah Klee. May the Holy Spirit guide you through life.

Having kids with medical needs means a lot of time at the doctors, and this week...and month...is a good example of this lifestyle we lead. Monday started out with a blood draw for one of my guys checking allergy IgE levels. After getting the oil changed on the car, I took Lily three hours away to University of Michigan for a pediatric ophthalmology visit.

I think Melissa Wiley mentioned “Forest Has a Song" by Amy Ludwig VanDerwater on her blog and I am so grateful that she passed this little gem on to us.

I love all of the new owl themes out there. I really love anything that is “woodsy” like a new line they have at Target for little girls and their bedrooms. So.....I purchased the decals for Lily’s room and she really likes them!
So, with all of that woodsy goodness, I had to whip up an owl pillow. I got the pattern from http://www.gingercake.typepad.com/ The pattern IDianahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12422954437237474822noreply@blogger.com0
